Sunsets and ice creams to get back into ‘work mode’

Ah, leave. It’s a lovely thing. Even if you don’t go on any big adventures, just being kind to yourself by sleeping in and having lots of naps usually does the world of good.

And so, that’s how I spent most of this past week – eating well, reading, finally finishing the admin filing tasks I meant to start a few years ago (yay, me!), and napping. Of course Husband’s been with me the past few days due to the Freedom Day long weekend, so it wasn’t ALL spent in and around the house. In fact, we had a lovely weekend relaxing, but also out and about…

Eyes closed yes, but enjoying the sunshine while waiting for the bus in Woodstock. And note I'm wearing an earring in each ear?

Here, one earring is down. Possibly pocketed while we were packed like sardines on the bus. Oh well, drowned my sorrows in a pot of tea while Husband munched on bacon-and-feta-filled jalapeno poppers

A lovely group shot of the family - obviously not the lady sitting at the table behind us or the waiter. This is where our friends Gords and Nats dined after getting engaged last Christmas, and where we celebrated dad's 63rd birthday last August

That’s all for now, folks. If all else fails, at least we have a short work week ahead πŸ™‚
