The Joburg goodbyes

Just two days before our journey to a whole new chapter in Cape Town begins! I’m impressed with how quickly we can pack boxes now, slotting things in neatly, sealing and labelling them before we turn to the next corner of our lives that needs to be stored away for now. The moving truck is collecting all our worldly goods tomorrow and we’re starting our road trip on Friday, so life has been a whirlwind blur of meeting up with our favourites for the last time in this town of gold mines and golden dreams.

Here are a few of the farewell scenes that make me smile …

  1. All the best for your guys. I hope you have a wonderful time in Cape Town as it is a bit different from Jozi. Let us know as soon as you have settled in and send pics of new home ect. Hope Tabasco and Bert enjoy their new surroundings too. Drive safely and you will be missed. Love Tanja and Jeff
